Short documentary about the 11 edition Harvest Ale. The first Harvest Ale ever to be be bottled. Harvest Ale is a “wet hop” style ale, and Sierra Nevada makes more of it than anyone else. Learn more by watching the video.
This was a fun project to produce, as the picking and brewing take place within 24 hours, and are two states apart. Making it happen involved chartering a private plane, and plenty of sleep deprivation. But the result was well worth it.
One highlight of the project was filming underneath the fermenting tanks. Until you’ve tasted beer directly from a fermenter…well…let’s just say I wish there was some way they could bottle that.
